Relationships and parenthood

Our early experiences with our primary caregivers profoundly shape how we connect with others—whether in romantic relationships or friendships. The dynamics we experience growing up influence how we trust, communicate, and form bonds as adults. Unresolved emotions or past experiences can impact our current relationships in ways we may not always recognise, making it difficult to create the deep and fulfilling connections we desire.

Similarly, the way we were parented often shapes our own parenting style, sometimes in subtle, unconscious ways. If you find yourself struggling with recurring patterns in your relationship with your child, it may be helpful to explore how your upbringing is influencing your approach. By understanding the connection between past and present, you can break free from old patterns and approach parenting with greater mindfulness and intention.

In therapy, we will work together to uncover and understand these deeper influences, bringing awareness to unconscious patterns that may be shaping your relationships. Through this process, you will gain greater self-awareness, heal unresolved emotions, and develop healthier ways of connecting with others. In a supportive and reflective space, we will explore new ways of relating, empowering you to build more fulfilling relationships and parent with clarity and confidence.
